Elon Musk Asks Employees For Help After Difficult Quarter At Tesla

    Jun 14,2022 | Chloe Lacour

Billionaire calls for union with the strength to recover the company

Worried about the results of the last three months, Tesla CEO, billionaire Elon Musk, urged his employees to unite for the recovery of the electric vehicle maker. The information is from Veja magazine.

In a leaked internal memo, the executive highlights the "very difficult quarter", given the supply chain and the closure of the Shanghai factory due to a new outbreak of Covid-19.

“This was a very difficult quarter, mainly due to supply chain and production challenges in China. So we need to rally together forcefully to recover!" he said.

Musk pointed out, however, that the factory is returning after the period of restrictions and that the unit in Texas, in the United States, is increasing production. He also highlighted the turnaround at the Berlin plant, which built nearly 1,000 cars, while its plant in Fremont, California, recorded a record production day.

    34% FALL IN 2022

Tesla shares have already dropped 34% in 2022, being 18% in July alone. In addition to the supply crisis and Chinese lockdowns, the company's shares were also affected after Musk's attempts to buy Twitter.
