Two U.S. Employees Dismissed By Tesla, Urgent Petition For Retirement Agreement

    Jul 06,2022 | Chloe Lacour

Two employees fired by electric vehicle (EV) Tesla said yesterday that the company is demanding that they leave their jobs in exchange for severance pay that is far less than federal law provides, and to prevent this from happening in court. I made an urgent complaint.

According to a petition to a Texas court, Tesla is asking employees to agree to waive all claims in exchange for a week or two of severance pay and allowances.

On the other hand, under the Worker Coordination and Retraining Notice Act (WARN), employees can receive 60 days' salary and allowance.

The two were said to have been fired when Tesla fired more than 500 people at its Sparks, Nevada plant in May-June without prior notice.
