Why would you need to leave the card on the console? Once the car detects the card, you can put it away. You don't have to leave it on the console.
this is good for when your parking your car in a garage or valet area. I don't like to park my car on the street for a couple of reasons, so I garage my car in the city. before this, they would typically leave the card on the dashboard. now they can just leave it in the card holster

Does velcro come off easily?
So far it's still working fine. It's a great idea. Keeps the items that are not used often well hidden inside. Now my trunk looks a lot cleaner.

Will the key card fly out when driving fast?
can't. It's also very stable in sharp turns. I love this design and it's easy to take out my Tesla key card.
