How to fix common windshield wiper problems
- Adjust the tension on your wiper blades by manually lifting them away from the windshield and then snapping them back on.
- Stop the wiper blades in the mid-stroke position to see if the wiper arm is parallel to the windshield, and replace it if necessary.
- If the wiper blade is not making full contact with the windshield, use a plier to bend the wiper arm's mid-to-edge section downwards toward the windshield.
- To remove any grease or buildup, thoroughly clean the windshield and wiper blade rubber with hot, soapy water.
