This sensor installs in the front or rear bumper parking sensor position, depending on your vehicle’s original configuration. Access may require bumper cover removal, wheel arch liner removal, or trim removal depending on the vehicle model and sensor location.

Installation Steps
1. Turn off the vehicle and disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal for safety. Secure the vehicle with a jack and safety stands.
2. Remove the bumper lower splash guard (no need to fully remove the bumper) to access the sensor wiring from the inside of the bumper.
3. Disconnect the sensor connector: pull the red locking tab gently to unlock, then separate the connector (do not pull the wiring directly to avoid damage).
4. Remove the old sensor: pinch the sensor edge from the outside of the bumper, rotate it 60° counterclockwise to unlock the clips, then push the sensor out gently.
5. Clean the mounting hole and the new sensor surface with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth (ensure no dust, oil, or fingerprints, especially on the sensor lens).
6. Align the new sensor with the mounting hole: match the white positioning mark on the sensor to the slot on the bumper bracket, push it in firmly, then rotate 60° clockwise to lock the clips (you will hear a "click").
7. Reconnect the sensor connector until the red locking tab clicks into place. Secure the wiring with the original clips to avoid friction with moving or high-temperature parts.
8. Reinstall the bumper splash guard, then reconnect the 12V battery negative terminal.
9. Test the parking assist system: shift to reverse gear, check if the system activates on the center display, and verify normal alarm function by placing an obstacle 30-50cm in front of the sensor. Calibrate with a Tesla diagnostic tool if a fault code appears.
Important Warnings
- ✅ Do NOT touch the sensor lens — fingerprints or oil stains will cause detection failure.
- ✅ Do NOT repaint the sensor — the original paint is designed for ultrasonic signal transmission; repainting will render it useless.
- ✅ Ensure the sensor is flush with the bumper surface (no protrusion or depression) and the white positioning mark is aligned to maintain a 10° downward detection angle.
