Installation Instructions

Disassembly Steps:

1. Lift the vehicle and remove the front wheels.

2. Loosen the 9 clips at the front of the wheel arch liner to expose the sensor wiring harness.

3. Disconnect the body harness connector (slide the red locking tab to unlock).

4. Loosen the 5 clips securing the wiring harness and remove the cable swivel.

5. Remove and discard the 10mm retaining bolt (disposable; a new bolt must be replaced).

6. Gently pull out the sensor, taking care to protect the head and gear ring.

Installation Points:

1. Clean the steering knuckle mounting hole and sensor head, ensuring no metal shavings or dirt remain.

2. Align the new sensor with the mounting hole and gently push it into place (avoid forcing).

3. Install the new 10mm bolt, torque specification: 8 Nm (Tesla Service).

4. Reinstall the cable swivel and clips, ensuring the wiring harness routing is consistent with the original, without twisting or stretching.

5. Reconnect the body harness connector, ensuring the locking tab is fully engaged.
Reinstall the wheel arch liner and front wheels. After installation, perform an ABS system self-test.

Note 1:

Never reuse old bolts (disposable torque bolts have reduced thread strength after disassembly).

Do not force the sensor to install; this may damage the head sensor or gear ring.

Failure to clean the mounting surface before installation may result in abnormal clearance, causing the ABS malfunction indicator light to illuminate.

Improperly secured wiring harnesses may cause friction damage during driving, leading to signal interruption.

Note 2: Professional installation is recommended. Always verify OEM number before purchase.
