No, you simply place it over the existing dash.

Is this obstructing the ac vent in any way?
It doesn't obstruct the vents. has a perfect fit Put them in two vehicles. Both worked out perfectly. Installation is also simple.

Does it fit well on both sides and leave no dents on the doors?
The two pieces fit very well, nice and tight, but my passenger door has a slight dent on the right side. However, you won't notice the dent unless you open the door. Even so, it is insignificant.

Is there any texture to it? What is the difference between this and simply purchasing vinyl?
Hello, it's made of plastic. And more durable than vinyl. The 3M adhesive back makes installation a breeze.

After you (or somebody else on your benefit ) sign for your product, Tesmag will consider this your approval of the package, amount, and merchandise. To protect your rights, you're highly suggested to take a complete unboxing video and inspect the items in line with the packing list. If items are damaged or missing, please get Tesmag Customer Service within 24 hours of receiving the package so we can solve the issue immediately.
